Soil & root damage from construction can be caused from vehicles, soil grade changes, driveways, sidewalks and patios; machine digging for foundations, utilities, down spouts and irrigation. Forms of harmful pruning are topping, large branch removal (larger than 4″ dia) and excessive small branch removal. When large trees and people coexist their health is commonly compromised and safety can be a concern.
